When holding it together isn’t working anymore.

The Calm in the Chaos Challenge

Finding Your Footing in Uncertain Times

is a wrap!

It was a free, 5-day online experience that ran from February 2–6, 2026, for anyone who feels exhausted, overwhelmed, or quietly at their limit.

If the world feels like too much lately and you’re not sure how much more you can take, this is a space to pause, breathe, and find a steadier way to meet your life. Through short daily sessions with me and a handful of thoughtful guest teachers, you’ll begin to understand what’s been wearing you down and, more importantly, how to start relating to it differently.

This isn’t about fixing yourself or pushing harder. It’s about learning how to stay standing when things feel unstable.

Imagine what it would feel like to wake up and not already be bracing yourself for the day.

Imagine not having to hold everything together all the time. Not having to be the strong one, the capable one, the one who makes it work no matter what.

Imagine feeling steady inside, even while the world feels loud, uncertain, and overwhelming.

If you’re a people-pleaser, a perfectionist, an overachiever, an empath, or someone who spends their life taking care of others, you might be exhausted in a very particular way. You keep going. You show up. You say yes when you’re already running on empty. And somewhere along the way, it’s started to feel like something in you is quietly fraying.

Maybe you’re overwhelmed by everything that’s happening in the world. Maybe you’re carrying more grief, anger, or fear than you know what to do with. Maybe you’re just tired of pushing through and pretending you’re okay.

And maybe, if you’re honest, part of you is scared that if you stop being useful, or kind, or strong, you’ll be forgotten or left behind.

Something has to give.

The Calm in the Chaos Challenge is a free, 5-day online experience led by Emilie Greenhalgh, trauma-informed somatic coach and founder of Generation Thrive, together with a group of inspiring global experts in mindfulness, nervous system healing, embodiment, and emotional wellbeing.

Over five days, you’ll be guided through conversations, practices, and reflections that help you understand why you’re so tired, why certain patterns keep pulling you back into overwhelm, and how to start creating real change without burning yourself out.

This is not about fixing you or asking you to try harder. It’s about learning how to stay steady, human, and connected in a hard world.

This is not about fixing you or asking you to try harder. It’s about learning how to stay steady, human, and connected in a hard world.

Who is this for?

  • Do you often feel responsible for keeping things running smoothly, even when you’re exhausted?

  • Do you stay busy or “hold it together” on the outside, while inside you feel overwhelmed, tense, or quietly worn down?

  • Do you find it hard to slow down or say no to people, even when you really need to?

  • Do you absorb the stress, emotions, or problems of others and the world more than you’d like to admit?

  • Do you keep going on sheer willpower, even though part of you knows something isn’t sustainable?

  • Do you worry, even a little, that if you stop being useful, capable, or easy to be around, you might lose connection or belonging?

  • Do you long to feel calmer, more steady, and more like yourself again, but don’t know where to start?

If you answered "yes" to any of these questions, then check out the replays!

So, what can you expect?

2 live sessions per day, for 5 days

Each day includes two different 60-minute live sessions. One is a guided teaching and mindfulness experience. The other is a live conversation with guest speakers. This makes it easier to join live from anywhere in the world, and you can always catch up with the recordings if you miss one.

Insightful teaching + guided mindfulness experiences

Across the challenge, you’ll receive grounded, practical insights into why life can feel so overwhelming and why “just pushing through” often stops working, paired with guided mindfulness experiences to help you settle your system, find your footing, and feel the shift in your body and mind.

Grounded insights from a diverse group of global teachers, authors, guides, and practitioners who work with stress, change, connection, and resilience.

These are not just teachers. They’re people who know what it’s like to carry a lot and hold it together for everyone else. They’re here to share what actually helps you find steadiness and clarity when life feels like too much.

Gentle daily practices that support real change

You’ll receive short, accessible mindfulness-based reflections and practices connected to each day’s theme. They’re designed to help you stay grounded, build awareness, and give you simple tools you can keep using long after the challenge is over.

Meet Your Host, Emilie

Trauma-informed somatic coach | Writer | Humanitarian aid worker

Emilie is a trauma-informed somatic coach, writer, and humanitarian aid worker with nearly 15 years of experience in the humanitarian and development sector, including almost seven years working in high-pressure and fragile contexts such as Afghanistan and eastern DRC.

Years of living in constant responsibility and crisis response, combined with personal loss and chronic pain, eventually led to a turning point that forced Emilie to change how she lived in her body and related to stress. She didn’t stop caring or stop contributing, but she did stop living in survival mode.

Today, Emilie is trained and certified in trauma-informed breathwork, somatic and parts-based work, nervous-system-informed coaching, meditation, sound healing, and yoga. She blends science-backed approaches with deeply practical, human wisdom to help people who hold a lot for others find more steadiness, clarity, and internal safety.

Her work is grounded, compassionate, and realistic. No bypassing. No hype. Just real tools for real life.

Emilie lives on a small, car-free island in Indonesia with her husband and five cats, and leads retreats and programs for people who are ready to stop bracing and start living with more ease.
