Meet Your Host, Emilie
Somatic Coach | Retreat Leader | Expert humanitarian and development consultant
Emilie’s 15-year career as an international development consultant and humanitarian aid worker has taken her around the globe — from Afghanistan to Eastern Congo — working in some of the world's most fragile, high-stress environments, dedicated to serving the most vulnerable.
Driven by a deep desire to help others and perform at her highest capacity, Emilie pushed herself relentlessly… until the cost caught up with her. Years of overworking, compounded by the tragic loss of loved ones and chronic back pain, led her to a breaking point — a rock-bottom moment she couldn’t hustle or push through.
But that’s where the real work — and the gold — began.
Answering that wake-up call, Emilie practiced and trained in healing practices rooted in neuroscience, trauma-informed coaching, breathwork, meditation, somatics, parts work, sound healing, and yoga. First, to rebuild herself. Then, to guide others. What she discovered wasn’t just relief from burnout, anxiety, or grief — but a deeper resilience. The kind that lets you move through life’s hardest moments without losing yourself.
Now, she shares that framework with others, helping people break free from survival mode, shift old patterns, and come home to themselves with clarity, confidence, and compassion.
It turns out, years of designing complex programs for diverse groups in high-pressure contexts gave her the perfect foundation for leading retreats that truly transform. Emilie’s retreats are crafted with that same level of intentionality — thoughtful, well-paced journeys that honor both the science of healing and the heart of human connection.
Today, Emilie lives on the tiny island of Gili Air, Indonesia, with her husband and their five cats — living proof that resilience doesn’t just mean bouncing back… it means rising stronger, softer, and more connected than before.
